I can't thank you enough for responding .To answer your question yes their prescripted but i'm to afraid to tell the doctor i'm only 27 and she's been after me since i started going to her. Always thinking i'm on other drugs but i'm not always saying i'm young all kinds of things.I started to take more than i;m suppose to and i know it was wrong but my body was getting to use to them.At the end of the month however i'm always screwed cause i run out and have to go through withdrawl.I've never felt so bad in my life. Now each time it gets harder. So i'm prepared to quit. Just found this site today browsing web search for ways to deal.I became a member right away.
I am tapering but have lots of supports in place to keep me on schedule. It means that I am a little sick for a long time instead of alot sick for shorter period of time, but that is best for me. I tried cold turkey last week and didnt last past 28 hours. Everyone is different so keep reading and posting and you will be amazed at the good advice and support you will get in here.
Good luck and God bless
First off congrats on wanting to get your life back! This is something you are going to have to want more than anything. You have to dig deep and use every little bit of willpower you have. There is nothing that will completely take away the withdrawals but there are some things that can help. In the upper right hand corner of the screen you will see a link called the health pages. In there you will find the amino acid protocol. It lists some vitamins and supplements that can help your mind and body recover a bit quicker.
Are you prescribed these meds from a doctor? If so he may be able to prescribe you something to help such as clonodine. It is a blood pressure med but does help with the hot/cold flashes and may also help you sleep. I know the lack of sleep is what really kicked my butt! Also be sure to eat healthy, push the fluids, and exercise. I know it may seem impossible to muster up the energy to do so but force yourself even if it's just a short walk around the block. It will help with the rls at night and also just make you feel better all around.
Be sure to come on here and post as much as you can even if it's just to vent. It will give you something to look back on in the future so you remember what you went through to get clean. Just stay strong and tell yourself every second of every day that failure is not a option! Hang in there and know that with each passing day it will get better and better.
Best of luck!
Brian
