To all who are withdrawing today

Hi!!! I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you all today. In fact I think of you all everyday!
My hubby's 2 weeks clean off methadone...and if he can do it...SO CAN YOU!
Keep going, one day at a time. Each day is a step toward your new life!
And although I've never experienced the withdrawals personally...I've sat and held my hubby whilst he's been through it.  It's painful both physically and mentally but it's such a very short time compared to the rest of your lives!
So know you're all thought of today and my heart goes out to you all while you're embarking on probably the hardest yet most rewarding journey of your lives.

Hi!!!
It's been 6 weeks now and he's doing just great!
The only exercise he did was walking, he's never really been an exercise kind of guy.
All the very best with your taper from 30mg. You're so close to your goal...good for you!!!
Keep us posted on your progress...thinking of you!:o)

FANTASTIC! When I read a post like yours it gives me a real boost. Please let your husband know he has done something amazing. Most people don't have a clue how hard it is to do what he is doing, except of course the people on this site.

I'm doing a taper from 30mg myself. Did he use exercise? What kind? Bike riding works for me. There are days I would like to be able to ride 18 hours a day.

Thank you for your post. You words have helped more than you know!

He reckons he definitely felt each drop but it was just that he was basically in withdrawal all the time. The vitamins really helped...especially the magnesium.
And of course the Imodium was a necessity! The drop from 1mg to none was definitely worse than the 1mg drops he did from 5mg. But you can do it! Freedom is not too far away for you!...KiaKaha
