you are doing great! 2 days!
too bad we could not just go to sleep for a week and have it all done. just take it an hour at a time and it will be over soon.
Tomorrow will be week 4 for me. Coming off of Percoset. The Dr. gives me a monthly scrip for 90 5/325 and the last scrip he gave me was gone in 7 days. I had just had it with the highs and low. Right now I am struggling with knowing that I can go back and get another scrip at any time but I'm really fighting the urge not too. 250 to 270 mg a day is way more that I could tolerate but the w/d effect are no better than if I were taking a larger amount. The physical w/d will subside in a week or less, just hang in there and you will feel better. If you can get to your Dr. see if you can get a scrip for a benzo like Xanax for Librium. Also Trazadone to help you sleep. Trazadone is great to help you sleep in addition it's a wonderful anti-depressant.
Seeing a Dr. might be a good idea. I went off 270 mg of oxy a couple times for 5 to 10 days and was very sick. The puking and dehidrated kind of sick. My husband was tapering off 160 to 200 mg and did it to fast (no Dr. involved) and allmost had a stroke. You don't mention if you have any health problems, but if you do you should be very carfull. We both have ended up doing a methadone taper and are very happy with the way it has worked.
I was on oxy's and perks for 4 years. Towards the end I was at 200mgs a day. I went on the suboxone treatment plan and have been off pills for 9 months. It honestly was the hardest thing I have done. I tryed stoiping cold turkey a number of times. You just can't. Opiate withdrawl are insaine. Like you know they not only effect you phys. but also mentally. I had such bad panic attacks I started to see **** that wasn't even there. So before you get that bad come clean with a doctor. Ask about a methadone or suboxone program and in the mean time you need some sort of pshycotic drug to keep you in a state or normality. Phys. whithdrawls last up to two weeks, however, mental withdrawls last up to 3 months. Thats right 3 months. Opiates have a way of numbing all of your emotions no matter if they are good or bad. In your case it sounds like some sort of re-hab would be great for you. I know when you think of rehab your probally like hell no, BUT, there are re-habs that offer just evenings or weekend group. I really hope that you listen to you heart and not your head and get some help. Good luck.
Trouble,
My best advice in this situation would be to see your doctor about this.
There are other, more safer, alternatives to alcohol to help with the depression and/or bad memories which i see are causing you to panic, hence the alcohol.
Put in a call to your doctors office tomorrow and let them know what is going on. Do anything to give youself the best possible chance at beating this. Alcohol is not your best possible chance and is most certainly not the answer. You know that.
Do the right thing and get to some meetings. You need support. If possible get in to see a counselor. It sounds like you have some things to work on, especially with the bad memories.
We are here for you too. I believe in you. Keep posting............
