Okay...I don't want you to be upset. You don't like any of the Psych docs. I understand, well, I don't really...but that's okay...

The teasing was more about the "psychos" prescribing!  Because...When I hear:"psycho" I don't think of a doctor as much as perhaps a psychotic individual...that's all. (I see you smiling...)

I think several "psychos" prescribed to me!!!!!!!!  Sorry....that was totally uncalled for, but it was my first thought!

Konsumed......it's not ok to smoke marijuana under any circumstance.  That is not helping to treat your condition.  (if that is what you're asking?)  As far as you being over medicated??  In my opinion, yes, if it is bipolar that he/she is treating you for.

Are you asking because you abuse your meds?  Or just questioning the doctor?

Ha!  I sent you a private message about just that!  I do know, here in the southwest, that the PhD programs (Psychology) have very comprehensive pharmacology courses that they have to take...

I believe a Psychiatrist needs an MD plus 4 years of residency in that discipline...

Yes...psychos should never be alowed to prescribe!!

Just to clarify the above post - it is my understanding that PHD's are not licensed to prescribe medication.  Only a Psychiatrist has that authoriity - and Psychiatrists come with MD's.

HI welcome to the forum .....ive been bipolar for most of my life ....diagnosed for 7yrs to me your on quite a cocktail there and over medacated but this is not uncommon omoung phyc drs they tend to try to treat every symptom instedad of the ones that really bother you your the first on I know that on all that + the weed is that perscribed or are you just trying to feel well?? my belief is less is better I only take lithum and one mood stablizer and get along fine on it it seames when they keep adding meds it only makes the symptoms worst or at least the side effects witch can be worst then the bipolar in the first place .....I would have a heart to hart talk with your dr and see if you cant back off some of thosemeds the lorazpham is highly addictive and the withdrawals are no fun the adderall is also addictive its best to stay away from the addictive meds although a lot of what they say is non addictive turns out to be addictive dispite what the doctors say I wish you luck on this do your best to get off as much as you can but do it one at a time you will feel better the less your on I have been on a cocktail simlar to yours and feel a lot beter now that im not if you have any questions just ask my wife has fought the desiease for 15yr and I have done a lot of research on it and will try to help you good luck and God bless.......Gnarly
