Hi honey:
I took Lodine also after a dental procedure. I was told NOT to take it with Advil.
We are not doctors, so we can't diagnose you, but you should absolutely report the pain you are experiencing to your physician, or just go to a walk in clinic or ER.
Yes, NSAIDs can hurt your kidneys. And as lulu said, large amounts used over an extended period of time can also cause adverse reactions in the GI tract.
Please, sweetie...seek medical attention for this. Let us know what happens.
God Bless...
Hugs,
-Robin
I hear you. I have terrible inflammatory disease (endometriosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Crohn's Disease) Sometimes I take big doses of Advil because it is the ONLY thing that helps the pain...But I always pay for it (makes my Crohn's flare)
At the doses that you are taking, however, it's not very safe. You should talk to your doctor about the pain that you are in and they may be able to prescribe something else to help until you can get your steroidal injections.
Be safe. Ask for some blood work to check your kidney function and make sure to drink plenty of water. NSAIDS at that high a dose can also cause stomach ulcers and bleeds.
Take care,
Lu
I have degenerative disc disease, and the etodolac on it's own just doesn't seem to help. While I am waiting on epidural steroid injections, I have just been filling in with the ibuprofen.
Hi there-
Yes NSAIDS can cause serious kidney issues. Please seek medical help. Why are you taking so much? They are REALLY hard on the system. Please drink lots of water and talk to your doc ASAP okay? Don't wait....
Hugs,
Lu
