Took my last vicodin 5 hours ago

by goobert, Sep 05, 2009 08:27PM
Hi everybody.  This is it.  I had a couple of drinks but tomorrow morning I will be starting my new journey.  I have no vicodins left and I'm not going to get anymore.  I went out and got everything for the Thomas Recipe and a doctor prescribed me 25 clonazepam.  I don't even know what those are but she said it would help with the withdrawels when I told her what I was doing.  I am scared and I'm already feeling a little lethargic but I am ready.  I don't want to physch
myself out but can someone tell me what I am in for and also any other advice?  I have probably taken about 80 of the 5/500's in the last 2 weeks and that is beause I cut down.  I have been on maybe almost twice that amount for about a year and a half.  I am happy to have u guys to go through this with.  Hope that doesn't sound wrong :(
Thanks : D

Hi Goobert, Welcome and congratulations on your decision to get clean. You really can psych yourself up fearing the first detox. Good news is you'll live. You will have flu like symptoms for 4-7 days. I always have had day 4 be my turning point. You will also need immodium and if someone can get you sport drinks to keep you hydrated and replentish your potassium. You will have restless legs and trouble sleeping. There is an OTC medication called Hylands for the RLS that has helped some.
I am glad that you are doing this with your doctor. The Xanax will help with sleep and anxiety but use lightly as they are addictive as well. Time will seem to go slow so maybe if you get a couple movies for the first 2 days and then get yourself up and moving around and taking walks and exercising as soon as possible. Keep posting and good luck.
