Tramadol and Seizures

I have read a few posts where people have mentioned the possibility of seizures related to high doses of tramadol and it sends a shiver down my spine. Several years ago I worked for Searle Pharmaceuticals who sell tramadol under licence from the German drug company Grunalthal (brand name Zydol). Part of my job involved making spot audit checks on warehouse stock which I carried out on my own. As you can imagine, for an addict this was like a dream come true. I had access to tramadol in every shape and form, 100mg ampules, 50mg capsules, 100 and 200mg slow release tablets, you name it. I am really ashamed of it now and God knows how I didn't get caught but I stole and consumed huge amounts. It was not uncommon for me to take 1500mg of tramadol capsules (30 x 50mg) three or four times per day plus shooting countles amps on top of that. To say I'm lucky to be alive is something of an understatement. It is probably every addicts dream to have the sort of access to a drug that I had but it just ends up building you tolerance up to scary levels. I wasn't aware at the time about the possibility of tramadol causing seizures but now when I read about people using a fraction of what I was taking and having seizures it terrifies me.

it is amazing what a human body can take.im glad i didnt have thart job, my detox sucked and i probably would never have done it if my tolerance was that high.
