Tramadol detox *DESPERATE*

I am 26,.a single mom of a 2 yr old with NO family support for this. I have been on trams for 2 yrs nd have been so scared to stop after experiencing even1 day of withdrawl. I have tapered from 500 to 250 a day til today I have only taken one since 2pm yrsterday. I have xanax that ive never taken nd took 1/4 of the pill today also nd it put me to sleep. My son keeps crying nd im so uncomfy nd in pain nd becoming highly irritated. His dad wont keep him nd everyone assumes im over exaggerating what im going through nd blow me off even after showing many ive asked for help the many medhelp post on tram detox. My question is how can i make this easier nd can the xanax help with symptoms. I can deal with the pain nd cold sweats but the brain zapping is extreme i cant function! Any advice?

I also found out my girl friends' dog was sick nd they gave him trams.. It saddens me i hope theres no addiction for animals cuz there helpless nd hes part of our family. I now spread the word to everyone iknow NEVER TAKE THIS DRUG!

Thanks everyone! I slept most of the day nd luckily my older sister drove the hr here for her kids to keep my baby occupied. Hes my everything nd wont leave my side or be without me so it makes it so hard. I usually hug him a million times a day now i dont want to be touched. Throughout my life i have been thru a LOT and tried almost every drug nd drank excessively yet was never an addictive person.. Until my son heehee hes so addicting. But my doc gave me trams for joint pain ive had all my life nd it boosted my energy. I am a great mom but it made me the invinscible parent (which in turn overly spoiled him) but now i feel the worst parent.. Im an addict who have at times used some of his child support sometimes up to $400 of it to buy trams till my refill came up. Im taking my own sons money. Worst of all my dad/best friend has the same problem so i try to be his support. I watch him sleep his life away for days nd take baths when he is awake nd i would thibk hed be detox after a week but he cant stop. We used to take them recreationally 3 yrs ago til i got pregnant nd i quit EVERYTHING nd my dad quite drinking as well. Thats when the addiction started.. We started taking them again on a clean system. When i told my doctor about the w/d nd he said there is no such thing from trams. I thought it was just me till Icame here. You all nd this forum are life savers nd so appreciated! Again thanks for all the advice. Im going to get everything tomorrow nd start over. I took 2 this morning.

Thats right.clonidine was a lifesaver for me.I did excedrin,xanax,clonidine&immodium.I took that and felt a lot better.Clonidone did do the most to help.good call.

you need to taper down.you were on and are still on a pretty high dose. if you taper right the withdrawal will be more bearable.
there is a risk of seizures when stopping tramadol abruptly.
going from 250mg to 50mg isnt good.
how long of a taper did you do from 500 mg to 250mgs?
the brain zaps will be very bad dropping your dose that quick.
do you have pills left?

OTC: Immodium syrup 2X rec dose
OTC: Benadryl syrup rec dose (u need someone there for baby with this)
OTC: Aleve rec dose
Scrip: Clonidine pills not patch, half dose to cover baby
Scrip: Benzo's (u need someone there to watch baby)

Don't mix two things that make you sleepy. Safest would be Immmodium and Aleve. Clonodine is best of all, but would be issue with baby. Much better detail on these in other forums. I've helped raise two kids and don't know how single moms do it. You are a true hero, keep fightin!

The xanax CAN help with sleep for sure and yeah through the mood swings if u can stay awake to take care of the baby.U have no tolerance so u can take the tiniest amount which is good.I never knew of the awful w/d from trams till i came here so u r n my thoughts and prayers
