Tramadol detox

What is the best way to come off tramadol.  I have been taking 150-200 mgs for several years and took Lortab for 5-7 years before that.  I have thrown my Lortab out and now am trying to totally get off tramadol.  Should I go cold turkey?  I only had one yesterday, instead of my normal 3-4, and am feeling very lethargic and very unmotivated - perhaps some light depression.  Is this causing this?

Thanks!  I'm doing good.  Started to take a second one yesterday for a headache - had made an oath to one a day for about a week and then every other day, etc.  Took an Advil instead for my headache.  :)  I know a lot about addictions due to friends and relatives and know that you can kid yourself pretty easily if you have that addictive problem.  I know I can do it and, best of all, know I will feel much much better after I am off the stuff.

You should be able to stop them now.  Your doc will have better advice for you though, knowing your medical history.  BUT...........you should be fine if you don't have any other health problems.

For some extra help, go to the health pages and read amino acid protocol.  It has some great info for getting your system going again! : )

WOW!  I would have never thought that.  Thanks for your comment.  I actually have been taking one a day for several days and the lethargy has went away.  I feel so much better taking less.  I will run this by my doctor, though.  Have a great day!
