Tramadol (ultram and Ultracet) Statements..

Hello all...Just a little rant...I used Ultracet many times between times when I could get ahold of my DOC (oxy). I knew that it reduced or eliminated most of my WD symptoms. For this to happen, I had to take huge amounts (8-10) at a time. I took a couple today trying to clear up some health problems (see post below for full story) and feel guilty as heck now that I did. I decided to do some research on this drug to increase my awareness, and here's what I've found. Nobody knows much of anything about this drug. Some websites list it as non-opioid. The next website claimed that it shared the same mechanisms as morphine. What? Some say it's nonaddictive (which we all know is a lie...we see the results of it's misuse on here almost daily). Some people say they get a high like opiates. Others seem to get no high at all. At least with most opiates (hydro and oxy for instance), people agree on the way it works and what it does. I just think the medical community is dropping the ball on this drug. If you're using it, please be careful. Do not let any doctor tell you it's not addictive. And, if you do take it for legit pain, please use it as directed. I've read enough to make me never want to take it again. OK, I'll stop ranting now...

It is addictive if taken in large doses. It is more of a stimulate to me and I have never abused it. It did make the w/d's easier. I would take them (if I had any) for one week to help me throug the w/d's. They are addicting (I hear) and be very conservative with them.
