Tramadol vs. Hydro

Tramadol vs. Hydro

I took 8 tramdols on Thursday of last week because I was having withdrawal from Hydro.  I got my hydro refilled thursday evening.  Since thursday it seems like the hydro isn't working as well, I have had an intense headache and tingling in my left arm.

Does this sound common?  Or maybe a reaction with mixing the two drugs?  The headache only goes away with aspirin, imagine that!  It also seems like the headache gets worse when I take the hydro, which I am almost out of and going to be faced with w/d again next week!

I don't know if I can take to much more of this madness!!

I take 6-8 daily and I have 13 left out of 45.  I don't know if the tramadol is causing the problem or not.  I DO know that the tramadol made me feel like ****!!

I will rejoice the day when I can post and say I am 10 days clean!!

The reason I was wondering is because some hydro's have lots of tylenol in them and as for myself personally when I take any kinda drugs with tylenol I get headaches and lot's of strange creepy stuff. I hope you make it because if I make it we can rejoice together...hang in their my friend...awakan

You could be having rebound headaches from the Hydros. I don't know that much about them; too much hydrocodone can cause this. They are horrible pounding headaches. Others on his board can tell you more. Hope it gets better for you soon.

I don't know about headache being caused by tram and hydro.  When I used it for wd I had tapered down to about 10 mg hydro a day for 2 days and then began tramadol.   I only took a maximum of 6 50 mg tram a day and usually I would take only 5.

I never got headaches.  Once I stopped the tramadol the wds were there waiting for me but were not as bad as when i went cold turkey.  I was still able to work even though I felt tired, kept sneezing constantly, mild tummy issues, and such.
Hang in there.  Stay away from the hydro.   It isn't even working for your benefit and look at all the pain and fret it is causing you.  Maybe its good that it isn't working as well for you. Take it as a sign.

Blessings
