Tramadol withdrawal

Tramadol withdrawal

today is day 4 of withdrawal from Dr prescribed 50mg tramadol. I was taking 300-400 mg daily for 2 months for pain post bad hysterectomy a year ago. I just discovered drug dependency a couple of weeks ago when I quit taking the drug for a day due to no pain. I had the worst night of my life and got relief almost immediately after taking the drug again. I have taken hydrophone, codeine, Vicodin, and others post surgery as the Dr recommended and have never had a problem with addiction. I can't believe how fast I became dependent on Tramadol especially after Dr said that it is a non-narcotic, non-addictive drug for around the clock chronic pain. Pharmacy and Dr denied filling my prescription when I had exceeded the amount initially prescribed. Dr said that there should not be any withdrawal. Thankful that I have a nurse friend who has given me Xanax to moderate withdrawal and help me sleep. Today has been a tough day. My symptoms have actually became more severe and kidneys are giving me problems? Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Hey!!   What's with your kidneys??  Explain please and call that doctor back and tell him what's happening and that you want to taper this med. You shouldn't have to feel like this...

thats stupid. i mean....sure there is some patient responsibility here, but i think he should have at least filled it for say a 1 week supply.

tramadol can be a tough one to stop.
