I have been searching the internet looking to see why after dropping the dose of Tramadol from 8 50mg a day ,to 6 a day, then 5, 4 and now I am at 3 a day do I feel so horrible and i stumbled on this godsend!
I thought I was going crazy, I didn't realise that Tramadol was so addictive :-( I have been on it for 6 months.
I am taking it along with Tamoxifen for pain relief and have had enough of the side effects that go with it ( hallucinations, mood swings, depression, lack of sleep etc)
I thought I was the only one going through this and as I write this the tears of relief are streamimg down my face.
dont go near tram... RLS, for me was much better with hot spa / bath 8-10 x a day -but mine was a reaction to some anti nausia drugs. tramadol definatly did NOT help..
all the best T.
"The pharmaceutical companies are not going to stop making the stuff so it is up to you guys to stop the madness."
I love this, IBK! You are right on! Drugs are NOT going to disappear! It is up to us.
I AGREE 100% those little pills are evil I took them after a major knee surgery doc said they are not as bad for you as opiates WHATEVER when I quit those things made my whole body HURT I would never recommend them ......
You are right. Its just another band-aid. Thankyou for your honesty and support.
Thankyou for your advice. As a matter of fact I have some calm plus which is like calmag and others. Used it for Methadone withdrawls. Glad I have been clean from Methadone for two years. Got back into the cycle of using pain meds and just don't want to do this anymore.
Methadone, Suboxone, Tramadol. I pray that you and your lady get clean and stay clean without the use of any drug, especially a maintenance drug.
If you guys really want to be clean, and I think you do, then stop the drugs. Stop trying to take one drug to get off of another drug because this can, and will, go on for a long time. The pharmaceutical companies are not going to stop making the stuff so it is up to you guys to stop the madness. I know it sounds simple and it isn't but you are dancing all around it. I hate to see you both back here a year from now asking about something else, some other drug.
You're in my prayers.
Steer clear of it! It will set you back bigtime! I would rather detox from opiates any day than tramadol ever again. (I've done both!)
have you tried Hylands restful legs plus magnesium+calcium plus potasium suplemments ? -.lots of hot baths wiith epsom salts.... bananas, apple/range juice, tonic water.....all these should help you with RLS :)
tramadol is a synthetic opiate and a kind of an antidepressant so yes, it would set you back, pls, stay away from it .
