Trazodone

I've read quite a few threads on this site referring to the bad side of Trazodone.

My story is quite the opposite. Because of the tape recorder running in my head
at night, I can't get a good solid nights sleep. (Been that way all of my life)
My shrink put me on 100mg of Trazodone at bed time. It usually takes 1 hour to kick
in but then I sleep for a good 6 hours at night and wake up refreshed with no lingering
of the drug in my system. If you are taking Trazodone at night try to take it alone.
It could be the drugs interacting with the T that is causing so many problems.

Trazodone is the only drug that can knock me out. I've had sodium pentathol during
an operation and though it knocks me out during the operation, I have woken up on the table everytime they stop the SP and start to move me to the gurney to take me to the recovery room. It's kinda funny cause it scares the s**t out of the doctors.

I've always been a very light sleeper so when I first started taking my 50 mg I was kind of worried because NOTHING would wake me up! Not even my husbands night terrors that jerk him out of bed at night lol But now, I am thankful for that good sleep. Even if it's only for 4-5 hrs

you know, it's funny - different drugs, different people. i swear it's true...

years ago i tried trazadone too, and it worked like a dream... this last time i tried it, i had nightmares and weird body twitches.  i guess my body chemistry had changed..

it's the same thing on this board with Cymbalta.  some people swear by it, i thought it was a nightmare....

hey baby - if it works - use it!!!!  I'm glad it does... i know that feeling of your brain not turning off.. trust me...
