Tremors/Chills & Cravings

Tremors/Chills & Cravings

I'm on day 4 of tapering off 6 hydrocodone a day. My w/d symptoms are slowly getting better each day and I have been taking vitamins, gatorade for night sweats, prescribed meds for anxiety, hot baths for RLS, etc. But I'm having chills/tremors and cravings that are making me insane. Is there anything I can do to ease these symptoms?

I have done this before and after week one it gets better, except the cravings. That is why I am on my 3rd try. N/A helps, I am starting to go again this weekend. It is very Ppsychological
for me. My mind tells me I need it. I just want to feel normal, doing normal things again.

Hi there,  Been there done that; in fact still doing it over and over (Ha, Ha) I'm on day 8 now of tapering off 7-8 a day. The past week I stayed at 1.5 all week. Yesterday and today I surprised myself to take just a little more off (1/4 pill). I'm stll dealing with all the RLS, leg cramps  chills/sweats; sleeping 2 hours at a time etc; but felt I could do a little more. What have you tapered down to ?  I wear heat wraps(thermacare at work to help keep me warm while I'm sweating and take Calm Advantage (5HTP & theanine) which helps calm my nerves quite a bit.

ive tapered down from 6, then 3, then 2, then 1, then finally 0 for the last 3 days. cant taper any more. no more pills left (which is prolly a good thing). i still get chills and cravings and fight from going to restless to fatigue in the blink of an eye. i think the rest for me is over with (i hope anyway). i was just wondering if theres anything that i can do to ease the chills and cravings.

Try using a heating pad - even if just for 20 minutes at a time the warmth from that should help with those chills temporarily.  And I think the best way to fight cravings is to distract yourself.  Find something you enjoy and focus on that.  The craving will pass and you'll be even stronger to handle the next one.  Good luck to you.  :)

take hot baths with epsom salt.. be careful of taking the other medication that you mention such as valium or xanax. try to be as careful with that as possible. It is good that you may have that at the beginning but ultimately you will want off of all meds and be human! Blessings and good for you!!

thanks. its the beginning of day 5 for me and most of the symptoms are gone. except a few chills here and there and of course cravings. the fatigue is the worst part; cant wait until its gone. i want my energy back to go out and enjoy life! today the fatigue made me miserable. i felt dead on my feet so i went to bed around 9pm thinking i was so tired i would sleep all night. instead, it ended up being a 3 hour nap. made me insane.
