Tried MDMA for the first time. Experiencing brain zaps, cant sleep. Any advice.

I was a fool to try mdma. Wasnt knowing what it was and tried it with a larger dose. For the next few days I got depressed and then got horrible brain zaps for 2 days. They vanished but have returned back in the second week, they are very mild this time though but doesnt let me sleep as also my heart palpitates all the time during the sleep. I am unable to concentrate on work since lack of sleep is adding to stress. I did a drug abuse blood and urine pannel test and has come out negative for all the substances after 5 days of consumption. Can someone help pls? the only thing that worries is will these zaps go or remain permanent..has mdma caused a permanent harm to my heart and brain. Please can someone help me understand.

Hello & Welcome.
Try not to get to worried here. If you only did this once it could be a side affect. The brain chemistry on most drugs is affected and that could be why you have these brain zaps. Brain zaps happen to most of us who w/d off our meds or drugs. It will go away. Your heart should be fine. If the heart issue goes on then I would see a heart dr. Using once should not of damage it, it is more like a w/d symptom..However, I am not a Dr just speaking from my own experience.

Hope all is better now.
