Ughh, been dying witht the flu.

I've been dying with the flu since sunday I think? But anyways, still staying strong, I actually haven't even craved a vicodin at all. Motrin has been doing the job. How are you all feeling?

So many seem to get sick after quitting, although the flu is going around again also. Congrats on your clean time, your doing great dude:)

I know in the past about a 10 days after detoxing I would always get the flu. I think I remember reading that our immune system takes a tole while using. While withdrawing our bodies are going through so much and in turn become weak. Do you ever remember being sick while using? I can't think of a single instance where I had the flu while abusing my pills. Even though it's the flu I bet it does feel kinda good to "feel"!!

I have been terribly sick since friday and it *****!!!  This is the worst flu I've ever had!  *****...  Congrats on clean time!  Today I actually was looking at a picture a friend posted on myspace of a bottle of vikes and they look so appealing!  But I know that as sick as I feel now it doesn't compare to the mental torture I felt last year coming off the vikes....  Feel better!!

Thanks guys. And yes our immune systems are really weak when detoxing. I haven't had the flu in about 2and a half / 3 years but the reason is when I got sick, I popped 5 vicodins/tabs/cets/whatever and I felt fine. I have had no cravings or temptation in the least. That first week was he>ll but now all is fine and I actually feel alive to have the real flu, call me crazy. Lol. I think this flu is finally passing now I am feeling a lot better, sweating it out.

Just remember, those pills are going to get you nowhere but back to day 1 and broke. If you can push through the first week, the worst is over. I hope all of you are doing well. Merry Christmas.

I've been sick all week too.  This cold is just hanging on and hanging on.  I still don't feel great.  I too hardly got sick when I was on the vics, if I didn't feel well I'd pop a pill or two and be ok.  Since detoxing I've been vulnerable to everything it seems!

Same for you! Drink a lot of orange juice, eat vitamins and a lot of fruit. Thats been helping me a lot.
