Ultram Detox
Hi, I am currently taking 12 50mg Ultrams a day (have tapered down from 20).
Has anyone here dealt with Ultram and it's withdrawl process/symptoms.
Any input on how to get off this garbage with minimal damage would be much appreciated.

Hi I'm rj and I am doing a slow taper from tramadol. If you click on rj0923 or go to the post scared to death of tramadol, you can get some info on my situation and how i'm tapering down. I see your post says Sept. Are you still at 12 pills?

This was from my pm specialist. I was on Ultram when I first went to him per my family physician. He took me off right away. He does not like it because if you do have to get off it has a seizure issue during withdrawal.
Just be careful.
All opiates are horrible to wd from. I got some info from a detox center in our area and it actually says that opiates, Norco, Lortab, Oxy, etc are harder than Heroin to withdrawal from. Kind of put things in perspective for me.
Best wishes and congrats on the big drop in dosage. I know it was hard, I have dropped from 20 to 7. Ugh

I have switched from vicodin and oxys to ultram trying to detox. COntinue with the taper down...Ultram withdrawals are just as bad as any other opiate/opiod.
it really isnt any different other than its synthetically manufactured versus processed from opium products, to my knowledge. this in itself makes me leary of ever putting it in my body ever again....best of luck. If you need any other infor, let me know.

justlo - i'm afraid i don't know, and it looks like there may not have been anyone on tonight with experience with this.
