Ultram or Suboxone

by liscamdave, Aug 21, 2007 12:14PM
I am trying to decide which way is best to detox. Should I get ultram and try to detox with that. Is is addictive, does anyone know anything about this drug. It is the one drug I know nothing about. Or, should I just do the Suboxone? I only have about 2 pills and was going to break them into pieces and only take it if I really need it? Please help, any suggestions will do....

I am addicted to ultram right now, i plan on going cold turkey this weekend and im dreading it, the withdrawal is a terrible feeling, so whatever you do, do not use ultram. The first time i took it, i loved the way it made me feel and i instantly had a mental addiction to it and it turned into a physical addiction even though i was told that it was non addictive. Sorry but i dont know anything about the suboxone

In my experience, the ultram prolongs withdrawals and actually makes them last longer because of its longer half life. I'd stay away from it for detox.

take the suboxdone not the urtram the ultram is a mild pain killer, it will not dtox you the suboxdone is great as long as you follow it you have to withdraw from what ever it is your taking , for 12 to 24 hours as soon as you take it you will feel great put  it under your tongue and let it melt, but you should see a doc and do the treatment,

""Here is a link to a study showing that Tramadol is as useful if not more useful than methadone to detox heroin addicts. Yes Tramadol is addictive, but, if used properly, it does have its place in the medical community. Link below:

I know what you mean man, but in their own website it says that "TRAMADOL IS NOT SUGGESTED TO BE USED FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY ABUSED OPIATES"

In this case I would say that Tramadol, Ultram is out!!!

Dont get me wrong dog, I agree it does have its place man, but you have to consider where we are and what he is using this for. Ultram is just a bad idea for his personall situation! Thanks for the posting people, this guy really needs the info from all angles!
