Ultram withdrawal

I've scoured the internet and cannot seem to find even a semblance to "kind" of an answer. I have been on ultram for 30 days as of the 31st. My Dr does not give it with refills, so each time I run out I must call and ask. I have joint pain in my si and I am in physical therapy. I'm 33, in great shape/health otherwise - it's just an injury (or wear and tear from dancing). Anyway, I decided that this will be my last refill however I take 150 twice a day (morning and a night). Again, it'll be 30 days soon and I'd like to stop around the 3rd when my Xanax is due for pick up (as I read it causes panic and sleep issues). I know that withdrawal and detox is different for everyone, but my general question is - with tapering beginning tomorrow at 3 total for the day (I have PT tomorrow and I'm always in pain the night of) and tapering down to 1 a day by the 3rd; how bad is this going to be? I expect stomach upset and general feeling of sadness. I know this only because I tried to not call in a refill today and by 3pm i was anxious and very sad (crying over anything and I'm not a dramatic person). Even with 1mg of xanax I still felt like crap. I cannot over indulge in my xanax as I'll run out and benzo withdrawal would not be fun. I also require it for severe social anxiety. I do have left over low milligram SSRI and I'm wondering if I should take a small dose (25mg) during my detox so help stabilize the the depression aspect as that seemed to be the pits today when I attempted it. When I look up Ultram withdrawal I seem to find people who were on it over 2+ years and taking anywhere between 600 -1,000 mgs a day. I'm not in that position so I'm unsure if I'll have the same issues. I am choosing to go off of this because I am attempting to correct my pain through PT (physical therapy) and their recommendations verses a pill. My BIGGEST concern is the amount of time and restless leg. I've experienced restless leg before and there is nothing quite like it. The flu bug feeling is doable with immodium, aleve and of course anxiety with my xanax. Any help is appreciated. Hope this question was clear. Thank you

Yeah I agree, everyone reacts differently as I had WD's after 30 days on tramadol after surgery. Doc had given it to me as he didn't want to continue giving me a narcotic and honestly it caused more harm than good as the WD's were very bad. It effected my sleep much more than WD's from vicodin along with RLS. If I had known this I wouldn't have taken them but certainly a learning experience. For me after the 3rd or 4th day things got better for me and was able to sleep w/o the RLS after about a week. So I wish you the best on this and stay strong!!

Ah with the refills he gives it in 1 week fills. So every week I must call in. I have no idea why.

Well here's the answer. 4 days and yes from tramadol I'm experience opiate withdrawal. Not the SNRI withdrawal but an opiate type (I've had that before). Sweating like a pig, skin is hurting, sleep is hard, chills. I went to physical therapy regardless - I have xanax but it's not touching the part that ***** the most (the sweat, shakes and restless leg). It's not the worst by any means but it's obvious I'm not feeling the best and I have a lot going on. Oh and sneezing is rapid firing. Hopefully at least the sweating subsides.

You will be fine if only taking 30 days. Why do you think you'll have wd? Also you say you get refills but sounds like you've had a couple refills. So want to confirm its only been 30 days total.
Anyway you will be fine

Im confused as well. But I do know, a person can be on for 30 days and experience bad withdrawals all the same. Still, not sure what the question is.

welcome to the forums.

are you saying that you've only been taking the ultram for 30 days, and are worried about RLS as well as withdraw symptoms?
