Ultram?

Hi everyone,

Is Ultram a narcotic? Does it have the same effect as other pain meds, in terms of the "high" feeling?  I weaned off Oxycontin recently, and don't want to go back to where I started.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

tram is a synthetic opiate . It is very addicting .If you have dependance or  addiction issues then it is a bad very bad choice.

ultram is actually how my addiction started. I would say bad choice as well.

Look at the post I just put up.  After reading everything I have on this drug and the personal experiences related to these drugs by the people here, I think I would have been better off taking the Vics and Darvocets.  Tramadol (generic of Ultam, Ultraset) is EVIL.

tramadol is not considered a narcotic but works on the same receptors as a narcotic.i never could never really understand that concept,but it will have withdrawals effects i only know this because i have a pdr book .it explains it all

Also how my addiction started.....My Doc explained why Ultram is so addictive.....The molecular makeup is almost the same as morphine. Don't ask why. My withdrawals and depression after ultram was far worse than me recently stopping cold turkey off Methadone 60 mgs a day. Good Luck.
