Yes the "unkowing" drives a person crazy, I know that all too well.
Keep us posted, let us know how things are.
:)
ps:
Please do not try to explode your head
:)
Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely try them. I just wish I knew what it was. I can deal with it if I know it was allergies, then I'd know it would go away eventually. It's just the fear of the unknown I guess. I'm usually allergic to grass pollen (hayfever). Maybe I'll stick my head into some mown grass and if my head explodes then I'll know it's allergies. Better than the docs percocet test.
I forgot also to mention, that with the adjustment to your body now being off the opiate, it may just be that your allergies are more sensitive and may come at slightly different times, or more or less. Just a suggestion. Your body just went through a drastic change and still is..
I'm just grasping, but hope is of some help to you.
WOW! WTG on refusing that pill! I cannot believe the doc did that! But I assume he was trying to eliminate a possibility but still, yikes! I'm with steph on this one. Seeing it has been 24 days
(which btw, CONGRATS!) Did the Dr do any xrays to see if you possibly had a sinus infection?
I would "try" if you have not already.... either A) running your shower as hot as you can and close the door, just sit in there for a while.
Or B) Get a pan and boil water in it, put your head over that with a towel covering your head up over the pan. This MAY open up your sinus passages and allow you to at least be able to blow well enough to bypass that headache and possibly open your ears up.
Just a suggestion. I too have had this, not during wd though, but I usually take a heating pad to my head and face or hot washcloths to relieve the headache some. Heat feels awesome on sinus headaches if that is what you have or just headaches in general. And the other above to open up my sinuses and ears.
hope some of this helps.
This is interesting... I have never personally had this... Maybe you are allergic to something new?? Our allergies do change throughout our lives.. Maybe an allergy test???
I am shocked your doc tried to get you to take percs... as an experiement... to see if he was correct.. that is insane.. good job not taking it..
Also neck stuff can cause some of these symptoms... my massage girl drains me when I am there... gets all that pressure moving.. maybe call up a theraputic massage place and ask about sinus massage.. she does this thing where she pulls down on my ear lobes pretty hard and it releases the pressure.. also a thing to the front of my neck that helps.. and a eyebrow pulling thing.. Hope this helps some.. I feel your pain.. trust me
