I was taking 12 to 15 Vicodin every 3 to 4 hours. I was taking 60 to 75 per day and when it ramped up to about 100 per day even my drug addicted mind knew it was time to let go. I did it at home just like most everyone else does. Quitting pain killers was no where near as much fun as getting kicked in the head but very doable.
Gpison pretty much sumed it up on what you'll be looking at as far as the withdrawal symptoms. Good luck, you can do it. You'll be glad you did. I have no regrets.
I was taking 20 to 25 a day 10/325 Norco's, same as Vic's just less acetomenephine. You can stop. It will take you 5 to 7 days to get past the physical part of the withdrawls. Another 30 to 90 days to get past all of the mental aspects, fatigue and insomnia. If you have no other underlying health issues, there is no dangers in stopping cold turkey.
The symptoms you could have would be...
Insomnia
nausea
vomitting
sneezing
yawning
watery eyes
diherea(sp)
Restless leg syndrom
muscle aches
joint pain
lower back pain
muscle twitching/tremors
anxiety
mental cravings
no appetite
Most of these will subside by the fifth day and you will start feeling much better, then the real work begins.
Have you looked into any type of aftercare?
Good luck!
