Vicodin and Seroquil

CAn I take these two together? I'm on an EXTREME taper on the hydro's and wanted to see if they were ok to take together so I can get some freakin sleep at night!

It's an anti-psychotic that some people use in small doses for sleep.  If it's prescribed to a person who actually needs an anti-psychotic, it usually doesn't knock them out like it does to others.  If it's being used only for sleep, a small amount goes a long way.  If too much is taken, one can be asleep for days.  I've had it happen to me and several other people I've known.  I took 200 mg and was asleep for 32 hours.  A friend of mine took 400 mg and was asleep for 3 days.  Also, it takes effect rather quickly so one should not plan to drive or even function, really, after taking any Seroquil, unless he/she is already fully acclimated to it and knows that he/she will not have trouble staying awake.

many people are prescribed there 2 drugs together in the hopital i work out...not extraordinary doses of hydro tho...like 10 mg every 6 hours or so,.,,be safe and congrats on making a plan

As fas as I know there should be no problems taking the two. I used to take 150-200mgs/night of seroquil when I was using and I was always fine. If you just started taking the seroquil a smaller amount may work for you. If you can start with 50mgs and go from there. I hope it works for you!! Hang in there!
