Vicodin vs. percocets

Could someone explain the difference between these two drugs, and which one you prefer? Thanks for your input.

vicodin is hydrocodone, percocet is oxycodone. Basically they are very much the same, although some people prefer one over the other.

I really prefer Percocet, they make me feel a more intense buzz than Vicodin.

I've always read that Oxy is about twice as strong as hydro.  From my experience I found that to be true -- although I found Oxy to be a bit more than twice as strong. I used to take a bunch of 5mg Oxys over the same number of 10mg hydros any day - perhaps part of the 2+ effect for me was the decreased ratio of acetaminophen.
