Vicodin withdrawal after spinal fusion

by tigerpaws123, Jan 03, 2008 07:20PM
Hi, I am new to this site but I am trying to get off vicodin permanently. I had a spinal fusion about a month ago, and as my prescription has run out I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms. How long does this go on? What can I do to ease the symptoms at home? Does anyone have any good advice?

The first week will be the worst . you will be nauseated ,have the runs , muscle aches , RLS, you probably wont be able to sleep either .
there are some things you can take to help Motrin for the aches ,some Imodium (immodium) for the runs . If you are  not on an antidepressant
you can take some l'tyrosine for energy,SAM E for depression. a good multivitamin . Lots of water ....you can make it threw ,It is just going to be very rough .
good luck
