Vicoprofen addiction

by njmdad, Oct 28, 2008 08:49AM
Hi my name is Andy, I'm not a doctor or anything but I can safely say my wife is addicted to Vicoprofen.  It is getting really bad.  My biggest fear is having to raise our kids alone.  She is constantly  depressed if she doesn't have any to take.  When she does take it she is very happy and relaxed.  When she doesn't have any she makes phone calls to friends and family to find some.  We need help because she has tried going without but she can't bear the smallest amount of pain.  Then on top of everything she takes Ambien and Lunesta to help her sleep.  When she is on that, she is very annoying because it's like to going to bed with a very drunk person.  I think it is the root of the problem we are having with our marriage.

Please help with any suggestions!!!  Should we find a rehab center.

hi andy, does your wife want help?  if she dont see she has a prblem there is not much you can do.  if she does want help, find a rehab if she is willing to go.  there is mental and physical pain involved when kicking an addiction to pills.  let us know how it goes..there is lots of support here.  see if you can get you r wife to read some of the stories here..she will see she is not alone.

Hi Andy.........I was addicted to vicoprofen.  Is there anyway you could get your wife to come on the forum??  I would be more than happy to talk with her.  She is the one who has to make the decision to want to stop.  Talk with her and see if she will come on here.  There is alot of support and encouragement on this forum.  Let us know how it is going.                      sara
