Vistirol - Trazedon

Are Vistirol and Trazedon addictive?  Are they a generic of other addictive drugs such as valium, opiate or is it something homepathic?

Trazedon is an antidepressant. You are not suppose to stop it c/t..  Talk to the Dr about it...

Trazadone is an antidepressant, although not a very good one because it causes you to be very tired.  I actually take it to help me sleep and have been on it for years.  Without it, my mind doesn't shut off and I lay for hours trying to fall asleep  As far as being addictive-no.  And believe me, I'm an addict.  Now, Vistaril is an antiemetic (helps with nausea) and antihistamine (helps with allergies).  It also causes drowsiness.  I guess if you wanted to, you could become addicted to it, but i highly doubt it.  Ive never heard of anyone being addicted to it.  It gives you a severe dry mouth, and makes you really sleepy.

Ya I agree with wannabefree330 I am on Vistaril for sleep I didnt want to take Ambien again so my doctor put me on it to help me sleep, he said in was just an antihistamine until a few clean months pass and I can sleep on my own again! yay! looking forward to that.
