I've been taking it for 3 weeks...started at .1mg 3x day now down to 2x day...I'm starting to take 1/2 pill once a day and 1 several hours later..going to try to get to taking 1/2 2x day this week and ween off of them.  I have not been monitoring my
blood pressure but have felt OK..just a little lightheaded if I get up quickly and still a bit tired and lethargic at times (and dry mouthed).

I still take clonidine, after 36 days.  As soon as my head hits the pillow, my heart starts racing.  I take 1/2 of a .1 mg, and another half if I wake up in the middle of the night with a racing heart.

You have done absolutely terrific to get to 6 days - as someone not yet clean, all I want to say to you is to HANG ON!

I have a lot of experience with withdrawals due to my former career as a heroin addict, and each w/d is different, depended on my physical condition before hand and my mental state too. For me, rather than a sudden feeling better, I found that the feeling good/feeling **** came in alternating waves, and that as time passed the lows weren't quite so low, and the period of feeling better became longer. Symptoms left in stages, so the runny nose and eyes finished first, the sleeplesness and no energy were the longest to go. Its like a gradual emerging from a thick dark forest, until one day you realise you are back in the sunshine again.

Best of luck to you, I promise it does pass

The clonodine helped me so much...I do have a blood pressure machine so i did check mine often..The first time i tried i could not make it to day 3, this time my mind was set and i think the clondine made the w/d's much more comfortable.
I took .01 mg 3 x's a day...

I am not really sure how much they worked as i started them when i decided to go ct instead of tapering.  I was already feeling really bad while tapering so i decided to bite the bullet and go for it. i still felt alot of the w/d symptoms but just not sure what i would have felt like without.  I know you are not supposed to take hot baths when you take it as it can affect your bp and it already messes up your bp.  If you have some i would check with your pharmacist if you can take it if you are on any other meds.  I think it helped and others have said it helped them.  My doctor gave me 30 and no real plan...Wishing you all the best and look forward to day 6,,,,it will be worth it, at least that is what i keep telling myself over and over... thanks for the support and wish you well

for me hot hot baths right before bed helped so much...I could not take a bath then go do something then get in bed, i learned to go straight to bed right after , skin still red...LOL

want, if you have any more blackouts PLZ PLZ go see the doctor early this week.I so remember the hopeless feeling it will pass.Look how far you have come you are already almost to day six and then you will have a whole week ,woooooo hoooooo. I really think things are really going to start getting better. Just remember when the physical withdrawal is over there will be the mental issues . Have you looked into NA/aa meetings ? Let me know how things progress .

Wow, i am so hoping to wakeup tomorrow and feel better, i have to go back to work.  I cut back on the clonidine and i was doing better but then out of the blue today i had another one.  I checked my bp and it was 102/78 but 35 min later it was back up to 112.  It has only happened once so that is alot better than before.  I am still not even sleeping through the night with presc sleeping pills from doctor...I am feeling hopeless right now.  but not bad enough to take a pill.

This week was a huge lesson for me and i will never go back.
thanks for caring.

No its normally a bit everyday, but then others say on a certain day they feel a whole lot better . It does have alot to do with your body and the amount you were taking and how long you took it.Has it not gotten any better yet? how are the blackouts gone i hope.

You should start feeling better real soon....relief is in sight.  5-7 days seems to be pretty standard.
