W/D ms contin & roxicodone

Im new to this forum and have a few questions.    I am a chronic pain patient for ten years.  I was once addicted to oxycontin, my doctor at that time put me in hospital placed me under anestisia for three days to go through withdrawls.  It made it so easy.  That was 8 years ago.  One year after that I had to have surgery and became addicted again  I have been on 200mg ms contin and 15 mg. oxycodone about 4-5 a day since then.  In November I decided I wanted to get off all pain meds.  I was down to 15 mg ms contin 2 times a day.  I know this is such a low dose but it must have been enough to keep me going throught withdrawls.  Now im down to one a day and its unbearable.  I am so miserable and I feel like Im not going to make it.  My body hurts and I feel like I have restless leg syndrome over my whole body.  I dont understand why this is so hard with such a low dose of the ms contin.  Can anyone  give me some advice.  Thank you and God bless.

Yes, I've been reading a lot about withdrawl today... and ways to ease the symptoms.   Ultram ( tramadol) does help.  It binds to some of the opiod receptors... thus easing the acute pain and other nasty symptoms.

Look it up online for dosage or ask your Dr.

Good Luck !

Thank you for the responses.  My doctor gave me Ultram, she said it was for the pain.  I m real hesitant  on taking it because so many people have said that it too is addicting even though its not a narcotic.  I have some ms contin and oxycodone but Im trying so hard not to take it but its so tempting  when you feel so bad to not want to do something thats in arms reach to feel better.    Does anyone know if the Ultram will help with the withdrawl symtons?
