I don't mean this to sound "ugly" or antagonistic, but BULL didn't you comment just yesterday about a person not being clean if they are using SUB or methadone? The only reason I bring this up is, that it is apparent you do not know much about either drug so to make such a comment doesn't seem fair.

Please do not get upset..I like you BULL, and know you are going through tough times and I am here to support you, I just want you to be aware that perhaps you should not JUDGE so harshly.  I hope I don't come across as attacking you, because from the bottom of my heart I don't mean it that way...all I have evr wanted or hoped for is that we can ALL support each other..no matter the choices we make for recovery,

it just means though you dont feel the full effect, that its still lingering in your system kinda like timerelease but not. Take Suboxone for instance... It is prescribed to be taken every 12-24 hr ( sometimes moreoften, every 6,or 8hrs), but it last for 37 hrs, which means it builds up in your system if you take 8mg today at 8am, and 8mg tomorrrow at 8am, you'll be at the 16mg mark til you hit that 37th hr at9pm, so, when you wake up and dose again at 8am you'll still have some of yesterdays 8mg still working your system. Thats why its better to keep your doses as low as possible, so that half life doent build up too high at peak. a lil complicated huh? I tried to make it simple for ya,

ps this was just an example... though it could be debated... please don't.... I only answered the post.... If anyone has a comment about what i wrote( other than a ?) please dont respond. I have no experience with methadone, I was answering the later part of the post which stated ''meds like that"

some meds stick around in your system longer than others...half life refers to how long the drug stays in your system.  Some drugs have a longer half life than others.  google half life and methadone and then goole half life of perocet or vicoden.  the days or hours are very different making withdrawal a longer process
