Why do they call it cold turkey when you quit any thing abruptly?

i have heard that it has to do with the "goose bumps", the chills, and that "kicking" the habit it becasue of the RLS.  i don't know if it is true but it works for me.  lol.

yep I got the goose flesh when in WD. Id have that severe bone chilling pain. The pain was COLD and felt like it was coming right from the center of your bones and it would break me out in goosebumps
