Do not underestamate hot baths. THEY WORK>Look at it this way. You have to be sitting somewhere might as well sit in a hot bath with a good book and some sweet candy to suck on.
I had two weeks with family (some I truly didn't like!!!!) and I stressed about how I was going to handle them "sober."
Amazingly, as stressed as I was - they were a distraction to me. Somehow, you just function.
Keep reminding yourself - each day you take another pill, you are just setting yourself back another day and delaying the inevitable - This process will not be easy.
And there is ALWAYS something else that comes up - a dinner, a school conference, friends coming over - one pill would make it all better. But it won't. It will only keep the cruel cycle continue - until you run out of pills and panic what to do!
Mentally, you can do it. Don't call yourself weak - you've made it 36 hours!
Hydrate - bananas - I'm sure you've seen all the recommended stuff.
Let us know how it all goes - and keep thinking you are going into 2007 clean!!!!
Your body get used to that chemical, keep giving it the chemical.
Here's what I'm doing (and it's working great).
Get you a calendar and lay all your daily doses out all over the different days 1-31. Take your normal dose on the 1st, then, with a razor blade, slowly shave off the ends all the way through day 30. On day 30, you should have just under 1/4 pill left, on day 31 - take a couple tylenol ex and your body will not recognize the loss of chemical.
This has been working for me. I'm down to 1-1/2 per day now using this method.
This is just my opinion, hope it help somebody out their.
