Weakness and fainting episodes

by ladyfarmer, Mar 20, 2007 12:00AM
My mother took mini thins for the longest time.  Now she gets a real weierd look on her face, she slurs her speech , can hardly stand, her legs sometimes are like jello.  If you touch her, she goes into it more.  She acts like she is drunk.  We have had all tests done on her and everyone came back with a clean bill of health.  Could these mini thins with ephedrine have affected her nervous system or some other part of her body.  Help!  We don't know what else to do.  Her doctor said she might have a phobia.  This happens at home or outside of the home.

I hope it's ok to talk even though I don't know the answer to your question.  How long did she take them and how much.  You would think a doctor would know or could at least find out.  Maybe there is a specialist in that area.  I know ephedrine can be really bad if abused but I have never heard anything like that.  Phobia??? I don't know.  Doesn't sound like any phobia Ive ever heard of.  Anyway, hopefully someone will come on and know the answer.  Take care and I hope all goes well.

I know it doesn't sound like a phobia to me either.  Don't know any other thing to do for her.  The doctors don't know what it is either.  I think she might need to see another specialist or go to a verve doctor.
Thanks

Is she off of it now? Did she have any of these symptoms before her addiction?
I'd love to talk to her. I'm addicted.
