Weaning off suboxone

Ok, I'm going to post all my info and question at the same time, so I can get all the help and info i can.  I was a heroin addict for 4r yrs.  2 years ago I got medically detoxed to clinical daily methadine visits.  I did meth for over 1 year.  This July I switched to suboxone.  8mg 2 times per day.  then i moved.  I can't afford the meds anymore.  I have tapered myself down to 4mg in am and 2 mg in pm.  I have about 1 month supply left and am scared of withdrawls and don't know how i should taper without getting them to bad.  I have 2 kids 11 and 9, which i hust reagined custody of and can't afford or spare a week of grinning and bearing it.  I need some guidance and info.  HELP, what's the best way to get off this stuff.  I've heard the longer your on it the harder it is to get off.  if this is true should I taper as quick as possible or take the months supply I have and do it slowly and use it till it's gone.  WHAT DO I DO?

ok erika...i detoxed off of 8mg /day ct.  If you are taking 4 and then 2 then just taper it down.  Take 2-2 then.  You are doing it the best way for you.  How do you feel?  Are you in detox?  If you can drop your pm dose then try that.  Stay with the am dose unless you wake up and dont need it.  Your body will let you know.  There is nothing easy or quick with detox God knows I wish it was a quick deal.  With that low of a dose you will more than likely have anxiety, some chills, and you will feel weak.  Your cravings should be minimal or nonexistent.  Go as long as you can without and see how far you can push it.  If you find that you have to take it then only take 2mgs.  I dont think you will go through the Methadone WD.  I know how bad that is.  You have only been taking the suboxone for 2 months.  The methadone is out of your system.  Suboxone usually is taken for about 6 weeks for people who are detoxing.  The Drs taper you down.  You are doing so good.  You are probably getting anxious because its been so long since you have been chemical free.  You will have minimal withdrawal if you continue to taper it will not be like a methadone kick or oxy or h kick.  I hope this is helping GL
