What Is Helping You The Most

This question could be addressed to anyone....Overall, what you think is one of the KEY things that has helped you with addiction?  Or perhaps there are much more than just one key thing, but a combination of things that helped you most....I'll start:

One thing that brought me to a pivotal moment;a turning point in my life was the desire to live a more peaceful and HONEST life....and therefore have a liberty like none other.  Addiction is like prison. Addiction is like living in turmoil everyday.

HI the key to a successful recovery to addiction is aftercare now some find that with n/a or a/a and 12 step programs there free and it works if you work it...others find one on one consoling works better for them with an addiction specialist you just need to figure out what is the best fit for you and get pluged in....anyone on this forum with any amount of significant clean time works some sort of aftercare it should be considered a necessity
and is not an optional part of long term recovery...you need to dig deep down and find out what was driving you to use in the first place if you deal with the root issues it is a treatable disease...good luck and God bless  Gnarly

For me it was the realization I was killing myself,I'd just become a Grandma and a liver function test showed me I was doing damage,so for the sake of my Grandchild it was time to smell the roses and wake up to myself. Now I ask why didn't I realize all this with my own children.
