What is Bentyl?

I read in one of the other posts that Bentyl helps with leg cramps. Does one need a perscription or can I get it over the counter?

Bentyl got rid of the stomach cramps, but caused severe muscle spasms throughout the rest of my body. 48 hrs. latter and they are not gone.
