Hylands restful leg and Extremely hot baths. That was what worked for me.
Melatonin and L-theanine.. all natural.... when I am not in pain I sleep about 7-9 hours
I find that Unisom really helps me sleep. You can get it from CVS. I know it's naughty, but mixed with a beer it really knocks you out. I only have it with a beer though if I am feeling anxious. Otherwise, it works fine by itself.
you dont take any medications at all ? the only reason i got on the lexapro and lunesta is i was depressed and couldnt sleep i wonder if that was my rebound from the pain meds what do you think? should i stop the lexapro and lunesta before i get hooked on those?
i didnt/dont take anything, and didnt sleep at all for 25 nights, now im 90 days clean and can sleep as long as i like whenever i like.
Yeah the sleep thing is a huge problem. I am on day 11 and I can barely remember what sleep feels like. I have stopped fighting it at this point. I bought one of those 1000 piece puzzles and I just stay up and try to enjoy the quiet. One thing that has helped me is one of those plug in heating pads. Because it's so hard to get comfortable it kinda helps relax the muscles. The worst part of all is the racing mind. I think about the dumbest **** at night when I am trying to sleep (like how I would spend money if I won the lottery etc...). Then it's off to work where I often have to suffer through 12 hour days but I just keep telling myself that it will all be over...eventually. Last week I tried everything from Nyquil to Benedryl. I have no problem falling asleep (because by 9pm I am absolutely recked from not sleeping the night before) it's the staying asleep that kills me. The good news I am slowly, slowly sleeping a little bit more each night. Best of luck.
