What is this rash that is like poison oak?

Hi everyone, I am in my 3rd week off of vicodin/darvocet/some after taking them everday for 5 years.  When I started I got a rash like poison oak starting on my one arm and now it has spread to 4 different parts of my body and it itches like crazy.  I've read where some people have gotten this reaction but my question is does anyone know how long this can last?  I'm starting to get concerned.

have you been sick at all? My daughter had a horrible rash that itched like crazy..I had to take her to the hospital because her hands started to swell..anyway..it was finally diagnosed as a virus..they have been seeing this..have you taken any benadryl? Get some calamine lotion or Aveeno oatmeal stuff..(bath?) if it persisits i would go to the dr..it took my daughter a couple weeks to finally get back to normal but the dr.s did say that it was lasting sometimes longer..good luck

Your 3rd week after 5 years...that's remarkable!

About the rash, itching...have you seen or talked to your doctor to see what is causing it? Try and google it, research it to find out why you have this rash, and remedies for it...You done a tremendous job...keep it up!

i have gottten a rash as well, but it is not all over my body.  i didn't know if it was due to wds or not.
