HEY ALL!!!!
Do not be shy. You must have lots of things to be grateful for..Even if it has been just 1 hour of clean time to 20yrs. It does not matter. This is very helpful during our Recovery or just starting out....Let us know how much time one has in too. Very therapeutic. The good will way out the bad..Keep pushing all the way and take it day by day!
Talk to us, if you can find your way back here. lol
Bless U
Vickie
I am VERY grateful to have my God!
My God gave me a second chance in life!
He walks this Journey with me everyday. He let me live after having a small heart attack, that I was not aware of.
He guided the Drs hands in putting 2 stents in, 2 Very Blocked Arteries. Although he received many of my loved ones, during my recovery, he also made me see things in a different way. This has only made me Stronger.
Grateful to be Clean & Sober, so I can see, hear, smell, breath, touch or feel all things in a better way.
VERY Grateful to have a wonderful, caring, loving Hub of 30yrs now. He has been my Rock!
Grateful for the Dogs I still have and my Cats.
Grateful to be able to walk out my front or back door and see my Deer, Moose, Turkeys or any wild animal out here. The Deer have become my Pets. Ha!
Grateful to own my property, vehicles and so forth straight out.
Grateful for being able to make my Meetings & Church
Grateful for having some good loving Family and Friends.
Grateful to ALL of the NEW friends I have meet on MH.
On & on & on...................................................
Yep, there is SO much to be Grateful for now that we can see the light!!
Thank You All for being here too!

You couldn't be more right....sometimes I need to stop wallowing in my head and remember, I DO have things to be greatful for.
1. My very close, loving family! That I didn't totally screw up with my addiction, thank God!
2. I'm not in jail - like my best friend is.
3. I have food, clothing and shelter - and yes, there ARE people that don't.
4. My friends that I've met in N/A and the hundreds of friends I've made since getting clean. I kept thinking I had a plague when it came to friends....I was just that big of a raging *****!! lol
5. Understanding that a higher power is not ONLY for when I need to get out of trouble...you know, that prayer at 4:30 in the a.m. when you've been "drugging" all night and now you have to go to sleep b/c you have work in a few hours! I can thank my higher power now and ask him for NOTHING!
6. I recently got health insurance....for me, this is a big deal! Haven't had it since 18 (I'm now 44) b/c of preexsisting
7. I'm grateful I've gotten a life back....one totally worth living!
There are many things I'm grateful for today....but I never would have seen these things had I not gotten clean!
