What's the best Xanax titration from 1 year of 1 mg nightly?

I've been taking 1 mg Xanax nightly for about 1 year and I'm seeking guidance to reduce withdrawal symptoms

You must involve your Dr first and foremost. I take Klonopin by prescription. My Drs schedule was too fast for me. I am doing it on my own with my Drs blessing. I am now lowered with no ill affects so far. Listen to your body. ************.com is a site that assists in benzodiazepine discontinuation. Just benzodiazepines. They have given me tips. As you go lower you will have to go slower the lower you go to function in life.  Most Regular MDs don't know how to taper you safely. A Physycatrist with much experience is your best bet. I wish you the best!

don't apologin Dee, you're all good.  But yeah i'll just add that you need to taper verrrrry slowly because you can't CT off benzos.  You never should.  so take your time, and definitely talk to your doctor.  keep us posted and good luck.

hi and welcome to the forum.....where not aloud to give out tapering advise on the forum it is agenst the rules......with xenax you really need to get your doctor on board with  doing this  if done wrong you can go into seizures.....about all I can tell you is dont be in a hurry  this is a race one by tortus not the hare.....I was taking 4 mg when I detoxed off it and it was difficult to say the least.....xanex is a short acting benzo so my doctor tapered me down and added clonipin a long acting benzo  the problem with xanex  is hits a specific receptor in the brain that the other benzo's dont hit....right now you need to speak to your doctor about this....we do home detox's every day here but because of all the side effects you need your doctor on board.....I worked with my doctor and it took around 6 mo to do it  today im benso free....keep posting for support your going to need it .....just know it can be done.........Gnarly..............

Hi there! I hope you are well, Welcome to the forum.
Has your doctor given you an idea of how to do this or are you looking for what others have done?
The best way I found was to write down every time I took a xanax so that I could keep track.  I would reduce every week til down. I broke them in thirds or quarters or whatever I needed. I know they are small, it can be done.  You want to do it so slowly that your body/brain don't really notice.
It could take a while so you would want to go slow.
Sorry repeating myself now :)
Take care, let us know how you are doing, Dee
