When Should I stop taking the clonidine & serax?

Need some straight up advise, I,ve been taking one clonidine before bedtime & 1 serax in the early evenings, these are not my drug of choice, in fact I dont care for them a bit, but they do take the edge off & really do help with withdrawals, not to mention the fact that it helps with anxiety, but I dont want to get addicted to anything, I,ve only been on them for 3 days, & would like to know when to put the brakes on these drugs, I only have 7 of the serax left, so that should be no problem, but I have 22 clonodine left. Any advise would be helpful.  Penelope

It does not sound like u r on avery high dose of  either med...both are drugs you should taper off of...the clonidine is recommended to gradually stop to avoid irritabiltiy and BP spikes...serax is a benzo but u were not taking a high dose...if u feel u do not need them anymore, I would talk to your dotor about it and gradually cut back and see how you do

If they are helping I would not stop just  yet .  Its take longer with the methadone then other meds .Just remeber with the clondine you are going to need to ween down .
