When does the severe wd from methadone end?

by stickin2it, Apr 06, 2009 08:57PM
My friend has been off of methadone for three days now and the withdrawls are starting bad. Anyone know how long they usually last? Methadone was never my doc and I don't know much about it. I know it was at least a week before i started feeling better after stopping lorotabs. How much worse is methadone to come off of?

Methadone normally takes a bit longer then other opiates.I think for most of us coming off of it we just start to hit the full blown w/ds around day 3,mainly because it has such a long half life. How long was your friend on it? How much were they taking? I went c/t off of 25 mgs. It's rough, but it is do able.Send me a pm if you like and I will try and help you out.All the best....KIm
