When partner relapses

I need some support! Yesterday I took 6 months clean and my partner went out to get high. I am choosing recovery and reaching out.This is not the first time he has done this,this time I need somebody to help me with understanding how to put my boundries down and how to tell him that he needs to go get help I don;t want him around. I need a partner not a thief ,lier and cheater.Any suggestions.

Well, you know yourself, that we can't force anyone to get clean. They must decide that themselves.  They're either on board or not. You need to tell him exactly how you feel. And if he doesn't want to get with the program, you'll need to make some hard decisions. Just don't give up your recovery.

Show him this post....then tell him that this is his opportunity...if it still is ,,, and let him take care of business. Youi cant make him do anything. But you can give your opinion.

You need to take care of yourself and your recovery.  You are the number one here.  Set boundries with him and stick to them.  He has to want to stay clean and has to know there are consequences for using.  You have come way to far to go back down that road.  Get to a meeting, call your sponsor, just take care of YOU.   hugs to you        sara
