It took me awhile to forgive myself. Once we clean up and our mind comes back, we can see what we did to ourselves with our drug use and it can be hard to deal with and causes relapses for many. Just remember that time heals, it's baby steps at first.

Yeah it def takes time, and the guilt was always my main excuse to relapse until I realized how much worse i was making it every time I relapsed.  I'm ready to makethings right with the people I love and who I may have hurt.  I'm ready to stop beating myself up over it every second of the day also.  I know in time I will forgive myself just as my loved ones have.

Forgiving ourselves is a tough one...forgiving others is much easier...but those we love forgive us...so guess forgiving ourselves is not alot to ask??? dunno...good post
