Why do I sleep when quitting Vicodin?

Just wondering why some can't sleep, but all I do is sleep for 2 days straight.

Count yourself lucky...I did sleep the first day alot, but the next week i could not, maybe longer....Ot lets say it was very broken sleep...Wishing you the best!!

Agreed - consider yourself very very lucky!! wow.. 2 days straight - and naturally without taking anything..keep it up and sleep it off.  Take care.

Ditto awesome for you, sucked for us ;) but I wouldn't complain, I miss my sleep the most but it's all good :)  I was tired but couldn't sleep...WTG you rock!!!!

Ummmm yeah I would have loved it. I didnt get any sleep untill night number 4 .I thought. I would go crazy from lack of sleep . So sleep right on threw .

OMG you are soooooo lucky!!  Not sleeping is one of the worse parts.. I wished I could sleep through it all!

You might have a similar reaction to the opioid as I do, which is kind of rare except I have read that lower opioid doses especially if you are tollerant, for some has a stimulant effect- you discontinuing that elliminates that side effect just as someone would drink coffee before bed obviously could sleep better without that ; )  I can't drink coffee but when I tried it it felt similar.
