As I finished my post to Vic, I started to leave here, then I remembered something. When did you taper down to 100 mg? If lately then it is likely that. If it has been a while it could be that you do need to do as suggested above, drink water, eat fruits veggies or even prune juice or prunes..
Have you had your gall bladder checked? I am sure yours is probably fine however my husband had a problem for a long time and assumed it was just aging so that was why some things upset his stomach. He always had a lot of gas as well, burping etc.
The end of September the S___ hit the fan, he had stomach pain, back and chest. I called 911 Turned out his gall bladder was about to burst
Later we found out the a CT scan had picked up a swollen bulging gall bladder but it was not put on the report we were given.

I just read what you wrote and wanted to say thank you. I have a family member on maintenance. I think this will help him quite a bit.
I always have a protein drink in the morning, with veggies and fruit if I feel like it but the most important thing is the needed protein and the Branch Chain Amino Acids are good for the liver.
I had a family member who as a child was so constipated that food particles were ending up in her lungs. Awful. Lactulose was the answer for her.

I just wanted to tell you that I was prescribed Methadone for over 12yrs for pain. However, for me it was the one drug that got me so hooked that I could not walk away, or give it up like all other drugs in my past.
I too would not want to eat all day. Your body sends a single to your brain, just like if you are staving, this then will store fat. Besides what Deb said above, try eating very small meals every 3-4 hours a day. Make some protein shakes and add berries to this..This one is a great breakfast on the go. The bad thing about these types of meds is that they hit or unbalance at least 10 or more Transmitter in the brain. They also fill up all the receptors that are all over our Brain/Body. The Stomach Receptors gets plugged (sorta speaking) up too causing us some serious bathroom issues. This is why people who Stop using pills, have to run to the bathroom all the time, as these receptors clear up. Anyway, I sure hope you get better. I know I had that issues for a long time after I stopped using. Now I do those great probiotics and eat so healthy, it seem to have gone away..Constipation is Bad and can cause so much blocking up all along the intestine too. I sure Pray you are unplugged-Ha! No i used to do meetings b4 i got on methadone , but now i just do my once a month session with my counselor . Thanks for all your help i been planning on doing most of that stuff anyways , so what better time then now!!! . Thanks again for responding never used this type of forum thing before , its very helpful though!! :)

Hello Andrew and welcome. Have you always had these symptoms while on methadone or only since you started to taper?
How is your appetite? Do you eat enough fruits and veggies?
Do you plan to continue with a taper?
please try in increase your intake of fruits and veggies. at least try to add orange juice or apple juice. beans, brocilli , berries, pears, bran flakes, oatmeal. increasing the fiber in your diet. it should help.
drink lots of water also.
all exercising, walking, will help your digestion.
