Will 0.5 mg of Xanax a day for 2 weeks.....

by Byron12700, Jun 30, 2009 12:29PM
Give me any problems stopping? I was given 3 bars by a friend due to some rough times I have been going through. Almost every evening after work for the last 2 weeks I have been breaking off a 0.5 piece. I don't feel like I'm addicted and have even went a couple days in between taking them.

Agreed, particularly if you can go without some days ... better to space them out a bit.

That's the intended use for the drug.

I took like 2x 2mg xanax a day for 7 days, with 2x 24hr breaks in that week, and I felt noticeably worse (especially the restlessness) than I had the previous days. I am on day 3 with no xanax and day 12 with no opiates and I can feel the xanax withdrawal is almost gone by now.

I have been taking 0.5-1mg xanax at night for years to sleep.  I only take it at night and don't feel anything if I don't take it.  It has a very short half-life for a benzo and if you only take .5 once a day, I wouldn't expect you would have any withdrawal symptoms.  The opiates are the butt kickers.  All I know is I can go without the xanax when not needed with no ill effects whatsoever.
