Will this madness ever end?

I have now been clean of hydrocodone for 9 days...I was taking 10-12 per day for over 2 years....Physically, I feel OK, but the mental part is tough...No desire, depressed, no focus...Will this feeling subside?

YAY!!  9 days!!!  So good!!  It will pass, don't worry.  It might take a little while though and once you feel good you still might have a day or two where you feel like crap again, but it's sooooo worth being FREE!!!  You can do this!!!

congrats on the 9 clean days. that is awesome.give yourself time, you didnt get addicted in 9 days and it is going to take time to heal your mind, emotions, body, yes those evil pills definitely give you a false sense of superpower. your endrophins will take some time to get kicking again. try to make yourself as active as possible, push yourself to exercise, even a little walk at a time then increase it. this is help alot. do you have any aftercare set up to help keep yourself in recovery. support groups, counselor, addictions specialist, therapists, na/aa, church. keep on keeping on, press on, keep on trucking, day by day you will feel better. be encouraged you faced the demons and quit the pills that is a reason to be happy and very proud of yourself you are a super dad, super employee, super husband and so on, because you have decided to be clean.
blessings to you and yours,
debbie

Apex did you quit CT? and if you did thats a pretty amazing thing in its ownright!! you should be proud of yourself if you did. You will definetly be able to get through this part, just keep reminding yourself how you felt a week ago and it should get you through.

Of course it will.  I am not sure how long it will take your brain has to adjust its chemicals on its own time but you can overcome this mental part - its the hardest part to get over.  You did the right thing by seeking some support. I have heard that its best to keep busy and try to get some excercise.  You will get back to normal soon.  I will pray for you.
