Withdrawals question

Hello everyone,
Thank you to those who replied to a post from a week or so ago.

Is there really a pill that will help w/ withdrawals?  Isn't that addictive in itself??

My hubby wants to quit, we finally had it out.  He asked that I call his doctor and make an appt to go see him for help and he asked that I go w/ him b/c he's so embarrassed.  I told him to be proud of himself for taking a HUGE step.  But I'm afraid if he gets these pills, he will get addicted to them too??  I'm sorry, I'm clueless about all this.

many thanks.

He is ready... he asked me for help.  I'm really proud of him and will support him in any way I can.  I am going to actually show him this forum and hopefully he can get some support here too.

Thx.

until he is ready to quit you may not have success. I think it is a personal choice. Yes, there is the medicine Suboxone and it's very expensive and he would have to be tappered off it in the long run

oxy's, tramadol, vicodin, perks...whatever he can get his hands on legally.  right now it's mostly vicodin and oc's.

I have been addicted to Ultram (tramadol for 11 years.....of all the meds that he is on maybe if and when he is ready he should cut all out except tramadol then taper slwoly...That one is probably the easiest to get and doesn't seem to mess with your mind as much. (from my experience anyway)
